I’ve lived in so many Phoenix area apartments and Heritage District is by far my favorite. The office staff genuinely cares about any issues or concerns you may have, maintenance is quick and efficient, and everyone, including most neighbors, has been friendly. The location also can’t be beat. I enjoy walking to downtown Gilbert and along the walking trails frequently. The buildings are a little on the older side, but if you can deal with that, everything else outweighs that in my opinion. I appreciate text and email updates for any issues, like pool or water maintenance. And I really enjoy the regular food truck Thursdays. I would highly recommend Heritage District to anyone.

I'm very pleased to call heritage district my home. It is in close proximity to almost everything! Management and maintenance both very active in the community! Monthly breakfast provided by property! And probably the first complex I've ever lived in where they have proactively checked to make sure I am enjoying my stay.

Maintenance has always been timely and usually immediate while the office is always accommodating. Shout-out to Amy and Erin for the 4 years of consistently reliable communication. I would just like to say what an excellent staff here at the leasing office and the maintenance team. The communicate very well with texts and emails in regard to closures of the pool. Or parking lot repairs things at that nature. Also, the leasing agent that I dealt with that. A very nice job at the whole. Arm boarding process. Couldn't be happis your good work

Have been living here for few months now and am super happy with our time here so far. There's a real sense of community here and there are always events going on. Regardless of the events or how lively it can be in the shared spaces, it's always quiet in the evenings. The complex is well taken care of and the office team is very responsive and communicative. We take advantage of all the amenities and the closeness to downtown Gilbert is great.

Lived here for about 3 years and it’s honestly such a nice apartment complex. Maintenance is always quick and prompt with requests. The property managers are very kind and helpful as well. It’s such a great location to live because downtown is a 10 minute walk away! Very family friendly community as well. Every Thursday is food truck day too which is really awesome and the kids always look forward to it. Overall a great place to live.

It's hard to put into words the wonderful experience we had at Heritage District. It has been a joy for my kids and I. Such a kid friendly! Not only does Heritage District have an indoor and an outdoor play area, but they also have events for kids! This past Christmas they had Santa their along with hot chocolate and cookies. They had a blast! On top of that, the food trucks, and free breakfast every month. I've never heard of a community that does all that! Thank you Heritage District for an amazing experience, we will miss you, but we will always have found memories.

We have been here for two years. We started in a 2bed/1bath and then did a move over to a 2 bed/2bath. Our experience here has been a good one. The repair orders you submit are done asap, the front does communicate quite well for your needs between repairs and scheduling any in depth repairs. The community is well kept between the dog park, the trash cans, and walking paths, gym and pools. The complex is in a quiet area which is nice. We love the up grade we did to the 2bed/2bath and had great support from the front when going through the move over. Everyone who works at the complex has been nice and helpful. The location is great if you love downtown and if you’re active with your dogs there are plenty of areas to go for a good walk.

This is a wonderful complex to live in! It’s a safe complex to live in. I have an 8 year old daughter and she has built a great group of friends that she plays with daily. Dog friendly which is so wonderful! I love the complex so much that I am back here for the second time! Close to everything you would need, grocery stores, vet, great schools and shopping! Awesome and friendly staff at the complex too!!

These are excellent apartments! The location is very convenient and the whole complex feels like a neighborhood! The staff here are especially kind and helpful; Amy with the front office is by far the best apartment manager I’ve ever had! She helped me with my application after I toured the complex, and she still remembers all of the details from our introduction! John of the maintenance team is also an extremely kind employee! To reiterate and close, I highly recommend the Heritage District apartments on account of their outstanding staff, wonderful location, and neighborhood atmosphere!

I loved living here. The staff here, especially the manager Amy is always very helpful and welcoming. The common areas are always well kept and when maintenance is being done they communicate that to you. The grounds are quiet and calm but more importantly I loved my apartment, if I ever had an issue maintenance took care of it immediately and I have never seen one bug in my apartment the whole time I was there. if you are thinking about renting I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Heritage is great, apartments are small but set up in a way to maximize the space. Amy in the front office is awesome! Maintenance is speedy. Only thing that sucks is Cortland. They took over and raised the prices and make it difficult for tenets to transfer properties.

Heritage District has been nothing but friendly and helpful towards my wife and. We recently moved in April 2023, and it’s been amazing these past couple of months. The front office are easy to talk to and they talk back respectfully, pridefully, and with passion in helping future tenants and tenants who already have been there for quite some time. We love how nice and friendly the front office has been and even maintenance. Our neighbors have been nice and friendly. It’s also nice and quiet and my wife and I LOVE that because it makes it easier at night to put our daughter to sleep. Heritage District takes care of their tenants by throwing special events on holidays or near the holidays for everyone to come and get together and have an amazing time. Every other Thursday they bring in a food truck for the tenants to enjoy getting out of the house and enjoying some food so we don’t have to cook! It’s amazing!! I would recommend Heritage District to my friends and family!!

I’ve lived in a lot of apartments complex’s and Heritage district is by far the best. The community it’s self is very calm even with the kids running around outside you can’t really hear them once you close your door. The staff is great as well. Extremely accommodating and friendly. I wish I would’ve found this community sooner! This is the first complex I’ve lived in where I feel completely comfortable. The area is great, it’s walking distance to downtown Gilbert. Very close to the freeway and a lot of stores are close by as well. Sandy and everyone else at the front office always have a smiling face and happy to help with anything you need. Overall best apartment experience I’ve had thus far!

This is going to be 3 years liveing here with my family and so far it’s been OK. Amy is awesome anytime I have a matter. Or any concerns she always tries to find a way to help out. We also like that they do activities in the front clubhouse. My daughter likes that also on any holiday occasion, they do decorations and food for anybody to participate. Maintenance is awesome as well. I also like that it’s a five minute walk from downtown Gilbert. you can enjoy all the attractions they have.

We’ve been here over a year and moved prior to company changes. The apartments are small and the price could be better for what you get as we have the 2 bed 1 bath 650sq ft home. The rooms do not have light fixtures which was slightly a downer. The kitchen and bathroom changes were nice as the kitchen has decent storage space. Overall it’s a decently quiet apartment complex and the location is nice as we walk to downtown alot. The place is clean and maintenance and the front office respond very fast with concerns and resolves them with you. I’ve had issues between AC and our tub and the front coordinated quickly to help fix the issues. My cons really are the price is a bit high but for an apartment complex, the location helps out weigh that. My other con is neighbors respect for quite hours as that has been hard to manage and the front truly tries their best to keep everyone happy. Overall for what’s out there price and location wise Cortland is not too bad!

Great area of town, hardly have ever had issues with appliances & noise from neighbors is minimal. Walls are a little thin and upkeep around the apartment complex only lags when we’ve had storms or people littering over the weekends. Good place to live, lots of families in the complex.

Love the location and being so close to Downtown Gilbert. Our family enjoys being able to walk to Downtown,. The staff is always really nice and helpful and love how they are always finding ways to build community in the complex.

We’ve lived here going on three years now, I have to say this complex, the office staff, and the maintenance staff are so friendly and quick to help. There is always something going on for the residents to show for appreciation and fun! It feels like they truly care about every one here. The distance to down town Gilbert leaves much to be desired as do the comfortable pool areas in the summer time. Great place to live.

This place has been an amazing place to live, the staff really goes above and beyond to make it feel like a community. Amy went out of her way to help me along any way she could during the move-in process, and the entire staff kept making sure everything was as I needed it. We love being able to walk downtown in 5 minutes and the trails nearby are beautiful!

We have been at Cortland for about 4 months now, and I have no complaints! Everyone in the office is incredibly kind and down-to-earth. The maintenance crew are the same, and will give a wave as they drive by. There always seems to be weekly events (nacho bar, coffee bar, meet-and-greet for new people, events for children, etc...) and there are rotating food trucks that come to the complex. The grounds are kept up, and I haven't had any issues with obnoxious neighbors. From our front door, it takes literally 10 minutes to walk to downtown Gilbert, so we have been taking advantage of that and trying all the restaurants. The Powerline Trail is right behind us so it's great for dog walking/exercising. For the price point and location, I rate the complex 9.5/10 (Bonus points for the letter board when we first moved in! 🤣) EDIT- I just read some of the older reviews, I believe there has been a change in management in the past year. I have been living in this place for almost 4 years now and it’s been absolutely wonderful. The maintenance staff is quick when you put in a service call the Amy and Erica the leasing managers are as good as they come when it comes to knowledge about what they do. The grounds are kept up nicely and I would absolutely recommend Cortland Heritage District to anybody who is looking for an apartment.

I love these apartments. I love how ya'll always have resident events and also how ya'll have an in complex workout room with a kids area! My children love the playroom, clubhouse, playground and the swimming pool!

Courtland Heritage District is a very nice place to live. The management staff here are awesome! The Maintenance men here take care of your issues soon as they receive them. The best part is Downtown Gilbert is a short walk from the development. There is also an excellent walking trail here.

I have lived here for approximately 18 months and have no intention of leaving anytime soon. The complex is amazing and walking distance from downtown Gilbert. The pool area is amazing and has a beautiful Cabana type area as well. The staff is friendly, especially Chantal at the front desk!

I have lived at Cortland since April 2022 and I have loved every second of it! Every single person that works here has always been so kind and welcoming to us. Cortland is very pet friendly which is so important to us. We have never had any issues with anything or anyone. And the best part is there are so may great amenities from the fitness center, the pet washing station, the pool and the Bark Park (which is my pups favorite place to go!)

Our Experience at Cortland Heritage District has been pretty great. The front office staff are knowledgeable, caring and helpful. The maintenance staff is quick efficient and kind. The grounds are pretty well maintained. Management communicates property needs and maintenance through both text and email, which has been convenient and much appreciated.

The community is fantastic and there are no words to explain. I'm a resident here for 12 years. It is very quiet and neighbors are very nice. Office staff and maintenance are very helpful. I enjoy the monthly resident breakfast.

My wife, dog, and I have been living here for almost a year and we have enjoyed every second of it. First off they are a very dog friendly complex. There is the dog wash station and parks for our fluffy child that have been very convenient. The Staff is so kind and will make you feel right at home. They are very helpful when issues arise, and are very communicative and supportive. There are a lot of benefits to living here at the Cortland Heritage Apartments.

We have loved living here. It’s been great having the amenities for our dog. The staff in the office and on site maintenance are some of the kindest people I’ve met. We are a 5 min walk to downtown Gilbert, which is awesome! Highly recommend if your looking for an apartment.

My fiance and I have been residents at Cortland for almost 10 years. We have seen many changes in both management as well as a complete upgrade of the apartments and the facilities. As trainers the gym is important to us as we spend a lot of time there. It is well equipped and suits us perfectly. The maintenance guys are always super friendly. Location is everything. We step out the back gate right into downtown gilbert and miles of walking trails. It was a great decision living at Cortland .

Just recently moved into the apartment, but so far it has been nice. The appointment to sign the paperwork was simple and quick. The apartment is small (2bed, 1bath), but for me it works well. Have not had a chance to try out the amenities, but they have a lot of resident functions that I will have to try and take advantage of. I look forward to my time here.

I have been living here for 4 years now and I love it! It's within walking distance to downtown Gilbert. There is a walking trail right behind the development that leads to McQueen Park. The Gilbert Farmers Market is within walking distance as well as the Hale Theater. It's a great place to live.

The office staff is spectacular. Amy in particular has been nothing short of amazing. I've been here over a year and with the exception of my complaint about the parking lot having potholes and pretty steep speed bumps I've been satisfied living here. I've recently transferred from a two bedroom to a one bedroom on very short notice and Amy made it stress-free and seamless.

Moving here was something I wish I did a lot sooner. The office staff did a wonderful job of making the process easy and as stress free as possible. The area is right next to downtown Gilbert and there are so many things to do. The complex also has a lot of their own amenities that are great, gym, dog park, etc. Any time they have an event or are doing maintenance they are very quick to let us know. Just a super friendly great place to live, with complementary breakfasts on the weekends. Love it~

The maintenance team is amazing. They are friendly and responsive. In most cases they fix the issue the same day. If they are not able to then they thoroughly explain why and complete the job still in a timely manner. The complex is nice and offers many amenities. My favorite is the short walk to downtown Gilbert. Does anyone know if the Topo Beaver’s eyes ever change color?

Cortland Heritage District is a very pleasant place to live. My neighbors are all very nice. And my apartment is quite comfortable. I especially like that we have covered parking. The maintenance crew is GREAT! Any time I've had a problem they are knocking on my door and there to fix it right away! The close location to the Gilbert Heritage District is also a good thing.

With all the recent increases going around the most surprising factor for me to stay is the Maintenace crew. Yet that is one of the main reasons I stayed! Al, Bo, John; have all been there from the start of me moving in over five years ago. I've lived in my fair share of apartments where when something breaks you get treated poorly because you just "rent". They take care things as if I was the homeowner. Which makes the world of difference because this truly is my Home! Add in the fact they have a great sense of humor makes it an easy choice to stay. Also, I can't go without a shout out to Amy the manager. She is also a reason why I stayed; she is always willing to help out with smile. Another note: you can't beat the location everything is walking distance!

I've lived in 3 different states during my life. Of the places I've rented over the last several years, Cortland Heritage District is one of the best. Amy and her entire staff do a great job and handling any issues I've had here as a resident. I love the fitness center and the surrounding grounds. I love this place.

My family & I have had the pleasure of living here the last 5 + years. We've enjoyed many walks to downtown Gilbert and the nearby trails for walking/biking. While living here, my youngest who has Autism, has been able to attend an amazing school. Since day one, the staff has been so kind & welcoming. A special shout out to the Maintenance Guys :) they're always so quick to answer work orders and are genuinely just nice people. My family and I will sure miss this place when we move- if only they had 3-4 bedroom units, we'd probably stay forever!

Been Living here a few months, not a bad spot. Walking distance from downtown Gilbert the neighborhood is quiet most of the time and people tend to keep to themselves. Plus pool is always open cant beat that. I just wish they would put some sort of roof on the basketball court during the summers so kids can play more and same goes for their soccer field it has no netting or markers even on just has to post with a hill on the side. Need to re work that. It has a ton of potential also a bench press squat machine in the gym would really be awesome.

I love living here for many reasons, the most recent was that I put in a maintenance request for a couple of plumbing issues in my apartment. They came the same day as my request and resolved all the issues, I’m extremely pleased with their quick response time and always being able to handle any situation or issue I’m having with my apartment.
