Brian Jordan is an Fund Controller with the Accounting team at Cortland. He is responsible for managing the day-to-day property accounting functions and policies for specific communities in the company’s portfolio. Brian brings over a decade of real estate accounting experience to his role with Cortland.
Brian joins Cortland from Jamestown, LP, where he served as the Senior Property Accountant for Ponce City Market, a large mixed-use redevelopment of the former Sears, Roebuck & Co. Atlanta headquarters. Previously, Brian served as a senior property accountant for Cousins Properties, where he was responsible for accounting for over 1.2 million square feet of office, retail, and mixed-use real estate in the Atlanta market. Brian began his accounting management career with Deloitte & Touche, LLP as a senior auditor for the company’s Audit & Enterprise Risk Services.
In addition to his experience, Brian holds a post-baccalaureate degree in Accounting and his bachelor’s degree in International Business from The University of Georgia.
